TUFFY DESTRUCTO This is the story of Tuffy Destructo And nothing else rhymes with Tuffy Destructo One magic night he fell out of luck though He went tumbling under the moon Felled by a car or the hoof of a horse Left there to die with no doubt or remorse His spirit pushed up in its natural course As his blood sparkled back at the moon It would've been over had he not defied odds He stood and he trembled and slowly he trod Defying the orders of almighty god He went rambling under the moon Headlights and starlight did further his shadow Determined to reach the outskirts of El Paso Had he not been captured by a mermaid's new lasso He might've been dead before noon But she lifted him up and he fell in her purse In her long limousine or was it a hearse But with fate and with haste they both quickly dispersed He blacked out by the light of the moon He woke up the next day in a box on a table He was one lucky cat between death and a fable And he might stand again when he's willing and able To return to the light of the moon |
